Upcoming Public Meetings:

  • Human Relations Commission is scheduled to meet October 5 at 8:00 am in Council Chamber, 304 N. Church St.
  • Board of Public Utilities is scheduled to meet October 8 at 5:00 pm in Council Chamber.
  • Board of Zoning Appeals is scheduled to meet October 10 at 7:00 pm in Council Chamber.

Brush Collection

Did you miss the cut off or forget to schedule a September brush collection? Don’t worry!  Another brush collection is only a few weeks away!   The window to schedule an October collection is October 1-8, with collection beginning October 15.  Call Public Works at 419-354-6227 to get added to the schedule.  The October brush collection will be the last of 2018, so help spread the word!

Fire Division Open House – October 6

The Bowling Green Fire Division will host its annual open house on October 6 from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm at the Pearl Street Fire Station, 1060 Pearl St.  The open house will feature a fire extinguisher demonstration at 10:00 am, a live fire/burn demonstration at 11:00 am, and an automobile extraction demonstration at noon.  Plus, FREE pizza will be available for visitors.

Bobcat and Falcon Home Sporting Events:

  • Homecoming Football Game – Friday, October 5.  Kick-off is at 7:00 pm.  Cheer on your Bobcats against Southview.
Falcons At Home: Oct. 5-7:
  • Friday, October 5, 6:00 pm – Volleyball v. Kent State – Stroh Center. Winners of SEVEN of their last EIGHT matches, our volleyball team is now in a three-way tie for first place in the MAC East.   • Saturday, October 6
    • 10:00 am – Swim & Dive v. Findlay/Northern Michigan – Cooper Pool. Come get your first look at the 2018-19 Falcon Swim & Dive team led by new head coach RICKEY PERKINS!

    • 7:00 pm – Men’s Soccer v. Akron – Cochrane Soccer Stadium. Come help the team take down perennial NCAA contender Akron for the first time in over a decade! It is Alumni Weekend and the FIRST 250 Fans will receive a FREE STADIUM CUP!
  • Sunday, October 7, 1:00 pm – Women’s Soccer v. Eastern Michigan. At 4-0 in the MAC the team is in sole possession of first place and recently swept the MAC offensive (Erica Hubert) and defensive (Maureen Kennedy) Player of the Week awards! This will be the team’s PINK MATCH and the first 500 fans will receive a FREE PAIR OF PINK SUNGLASSES!
