  • Human Relations Commission is scheduled to meet June 2 at 8:00 am in Council Chamber, 304 N. Church St.

Memorial Day – May 29

Memorial Day Parade: The Memorial Day parade is scheduled for May 29 beginning at 10:30 am.  The starting location for the parade will be the US Post Office located on W. Washington St.  The route will affect traffic along the following roads – N. Main St to Court St for a brief stop at the Wood County Courthouse.  The parade will continue on Court St. to Thurstin Ave to Ridge St, ending at Oak Grove Cemetery.  Pedestrian traffic may follow the parade into the cemetery from Ridge St; vehicular traffic will be required to enter the cemetery from Merry St.

In case of rain, the program will take place at the Veterans Building in City Park.

Delayed Refuse Pick-Up:
Refuse pick-up will be delayed one day during the week of May 29.  Refuse that is typically picked up on Monday, will be picked up on Tuesday and so on.  For additional information, visit the City’s website or call the Public Works Division at 419-354-6227.

Lunch in the Park

Bowling Green Parks and Recreation, along with title sponsor, First Federal Bank, and lunch sponsor, Bowling Green Community Foundation, will be hosting the season’s first Lunch in the Park on Friday, June 2nd.  Lunch from South Side 6 will be available for purchase from 11:30 am-1:00 pm at City Park’s Martin and Kiwanis Shelters.  There will also be a live performance by Tim Tegge throughout the lunch.
