Upcoming Public Meetings:
- Public Lands and Buildings Committee of City Council is scheduled to meet March 12 at 4:00 pm in Council Chamber, 304 N. Church St. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss Chapter 113 of the Codified Ordinances pertaining to peddlers, solicitors, and itinerant merchants (food trucks).
Residents will have two opportunities to ask questions, provide feedback, and offer suggestions to the Charter Review Committee next week. The Committee has scheduled two public forums – March 13 at noon and March 15 at 7:00 pm – both at the Community Center, 1245 W. Newton Rd.
Residents unable to attend either forum may email the Committee at . Residents are also encouraged to visit the Charter Review Committee’s website to stay up-to-date with the process or to review the current city charter.
City Income Tax
The filing deadline for 2017 tax returns is April 17, 2018. The City of Bowling Green does not have the capability to accept tax returns filed electronically. A paper return must be filed with the Income Tax Division. A copy of all W-2s and a copy of your Federal tax return are required to be submitted with your City of Bowling Green return.

Community Interfaith Breakfast
The 4th Annual Community Interfaith Breakfast, sponsored by Not In Our Town Bowling Green and the City of Bowling Green Human Relations Commission, will be held Tuesday, April 3 at the Junior Fair Building, Wood County Fairgrounds, 13800 West Poe Rd. This year’s theme is “Peace Through Religious Diversity.”
A breakfast generously donated by South Side 6 will be available starting at 7:15 am, with the program scheduled 7:45 – 9:00 am. The Interfaith Breakfast is free of charge, but reservations are required. Those interested in attending should RSVP by Monday, March 26 to the First United Methodist Church by calling 419-353-0682 or emailing . Bus transportation from the BGSU campus will be available from parking lot 7A near the Bowen Thompson Student Union.
