Wintergarden Nature Preserve

Construction of the Wintergarden Nature Preserve Storage Building is expected to begin the week of March 7. This new structure will include a maintenance shop area for the natural resources staff and a public unisex restroom. The restroom will be open dawn to dusk upon completion of the project. The main parking lot at the Nature Center will be blocked for construction vehicles and equipment so park users will need to park in the angled parking spots along the drive after entering the woods. Access to the Nature Center will remain open but users will need to be aware of construction vehicles and equipment when walking to the building. The project is anticipated to be completed by the beginning of June.

This project is being funded in part by a grant from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources and from the generous donations of many through the the BG Parks & Recreation Foundation’s Building on Nature Campaign.
