Upcoming Public Meetings:

  • Revolving Loan Fund will meet March 24 at 8:45 am in the Bowling Green Community Development Foundation Office, Four Corners Center, 130 S. Main St.
  • City-University Relations Commission will meet March 29 at 7:00 pm in Room 309, Bowen-Thompson Student Union located on the campus of Bowling Green State University.
  • Human Relations Commission will meet April1 at 8:00 am in Council Chamber, 304 N. Church St.

Columbia Gas of Ohio – 4th Ward work

Columbia Gas of Ohio is currently working in the 4th ward to finish repairs to yards and sidewalks following the natural gas line replacement that occurred in 2015.  This work is expected to last a few weeks depending on weather.

Parks & Recreation 5-year Master Plan

The Parks & Recreation Department is seeking input from citizens as they prepare the 5-year Master Plan.  Five focus group meetings have been scheduled – each focusing on different issues.  The first of these will be on April 6 beginning at 7:00 pm at the Community Center, 1245 W. Newton Rd.  The focus of this first meeting will be on “Youth Programs.”

Brown Bag Music Series

The final Brown Bag Music Series lunch of the year is fast approaching!  The April 1 lunch will feature “The cello students of Dr. Alan Smith.”  The event is taking place at the Simpson Building, 1291 Conneaut Ave., starting at 11:45 am with the performance beginning at 12:15 pm.  Bring your lunch and enjoy the show!

Electronics Recycling Event

Do you have unwanted electronics and are unsure what to do with them?  On Saturday, April 9th from 10:00 – 11:00 am there will be a FREE electronics recycling event.  Visit the Wood County Solid Waste Management District’s website for more information.
