Upcoming Public Meetings:

- City Council is scheduled to meet on January 17 at 7:00 pm in Council Chamber.
Refuse/Recycling Collection Delayed – Week of January 16
City offices will be closed on Monday, January 16 in observation of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. As a result, all refuse and recycling collection will be delayed one day. Regular collection Monday will occur on Tuesday, regular Tuesday collection will occur on Wednesday, and so on.

Martin Luther King, Jr. Tribute
On Friday, January 13 at 1:30 pm, a tribute to Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. will be held at the Wood County District Public Library, 251 North Main Street.
The tribute is sponsored by the City of Bowling Green Human Relations Commission and will feature keynote speaker Arto Woodley who is a Scholar-in-Residence at the Lang Center for Civic and Social Responsibility at Swarthmore College. Dr. Woodley’s presentation is titled – “Where Do We Go From Here: Chaos or Community”. Musical selections will be performed by the BGHS Madrigals along with Sheila, Angelo, and Carla Brown, Beautiful Sunset.
Also at the event, the Human Relations Commission will present the annual Drum Major for Peace Award, named in honor of Dr. King.
