Upcoming Public Meetings:
- Human Relations Commission is scheduled to meet February 3 at 8:00 am in Council Chamber, 304 N. Church St.
- The Transportation and Safety Committee of City Council is scheduled to meet February 6 at 6:00 pm in Council Chamber. A public hearing is scheduled for ordinance 8554 (ordinance establishing interim zoning for property recently annexed to the City). City Council is scheduled to conduct its regularly scheduled meeting at 7:00 pm.
Community Action Plan – Community Meeting #3
The next Community Action Plan (CAP) Community Meeting will be held on February 7 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm in the Alvin L. Perkins Atrium of the Wood County Courthouse, One Courthouse Square. The purpose of the meeting is for the public to be able to view and comment on alternative planning concepts for the east side of Bowling Green. The public will also be given an update on the early action projects – the Court Street Connect Festival (volunteers wanted) and the Code Enforcement Chart. The BG CAP will advance goals from the City’s Land Use Update by identifying neighborhood improvements with a focus on the east side. Conneaut Ave. Closure
The Water Distribution and Wastewater Collection Division will close Conneaut Avenue from Lafayette Blvd to Beech St beginning Monday, January 30 through the end of the current phase of the water main replacement project. The closure will occur each day, Monday-Friday, from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm. During the daily closure, Conneaut will remain accessible for residents along the affected section.

Winterfest – BG Chillibration
Come out and enjoy the coolest event of the year! BG Chillibration is scheduled for February 10, 11, and 12 throughout Bowling Green. The event features numerous activities and attractions such as an art show, dodgeball tournament, hockey game, ice carving demo, 1 mile Frostbite fun run, and much more! Brown Bag Music Series
The Brown Bag Music Series continues this Friday, February 3 from 11:45 am to 1:00 pm at the Simpson Building, 1291 Conneaut Ave. The public is invited to bring their lunch and enjoy a musical performance by students and faculty from the College of Musical Arts in a comfortable and warm setting! Drinks and dessert will be available for purchase. This week’s performance is “Pianists, Pianists, Pianists!” Come and enjoy the performance!
