Upcoming Public Meetings:
Planning Commission is scheduled to meet January 2 at 7:00 pm in Council Chamber, 304 N. Church St.
Human Relations Commission is scheduled to meet January 4 at 8:00 am in Council Chamber.

New Year Observance
In observance of New Year Day, non-24 hour City facilities will be closed on Tuesday, January 1. As a result, refuse and recycling collection will be delayed one day starting with the regular Tuesday collection. Regular Monday collection will occur as normal, regular Tuesday collection will occur on Wednesday, and so on.

Christmas Tree Collection
Christmas tree collection will begin January 7. All Christmas trees must be curbside by Monday (1/7) at 7:00 am. Please ensure all decorations are removed. There will be one city-wide sweep of all four wards – collection is by ward, not refuse collection day.

Safe Communities of Wood County is offering FREE rides home anywhere in Bowling Green on New Year’s Eve. The service will be available from 11:00 pm to 4:00 am. Simply call 419-823-7765 and get home safely for FREE!

Reduce, Reuse, Recycle During the Holidays
Cardboard boxes piling up from online shopping and holiday gifts? Wondering if Styrofoam can go in your recycling container? What about old electronics? According to the Environmental Protection Agency, Americans throw away 25% more garbage during the holiday season. Residents are encouraged to recycle as much as possible to minimize waste. The City of Bowling Green contracts with the Bowling Green Recycling Center, Inc. to provide curbside recycling collection to help make recycling easier.
