As of July 19, 2017 owners of registered golf carts will be allowed to operate the carts on 25 MPH roadways (excluding Main Street and Wooster Street) in the City of Bowling Green.
Prior to becoming registered, golf carts must be inspected by a law enforcement officer and conform to the equipment requirements for motor vehicles as listed in the Ohio Revised Code. Read more about the requirements at the Bowling Green Police Division’s program information page.
Golf Cart owners will have 2 opportunities for free inspections in the City of Bowling Green. No appointment is necessary and carts will be inspected on a first come, first serve basis.
The first event will take place in the parking lot of Stone Ridge Golf Course, 1553 Muirfield Dr, Bowling Green, OH on Saturday, July 29, 2017 from 8:00 AM until 12:00 PM.
The second event will take place in the parking lot of the Bowling Green Country Club, 923 Fairview Ave, Bowling Green, OH on Saturday, August 5, 2017 from 12:00PM until 4:00PM.
After the conclusion of the second event golf cart owners may make an appointment to have their cart inspected Monday through Friday 9:00 AM until 3:00PM at the BGPD, 175 West Wooster St. Bowling Green, Ohio. Cart owners are reminded that carts must be registered and drivers must be licensed to operate on city roadways. It is suggested that an unregistered cart be brought by trailer for inspection.
