WASTEWATER COLLECTION EQUIPMENT OPERATOR

WATER DISTRIBUTION & WASTEWATER COLLECTION DIVISION

(BGEO Pay Grade 5: $20.81 – $26.58 per hour)

Responsible for maintaining, repairing, and installing municipal sanitary, combination, storm sewers and performing lift station maintenance. Operates vac-truck, dump truck, CCTV, excavator, backhoe, jack hammer, tapping machine, air monitor, concrete saw, and flow meter; use hand tools; repair and install manholes, catch basins, asphalt, and concrete; set up work zone traffic control; respond to after hour calls; perform other related duties as assigned. Work is performed outdoors and in confined spaces in proximity to sewage; night, weekend and holiday work. High school diploma or equivalent; Class A Commercial Driver License with Tanker Endorsement; OEPA Class I Wastewater Collection Certification or the ability to obtain within 2 years; one to three years of relevant experience; or any combination of experiences which provides the required skill sets to perform the essential functions of the job. Temporary Part-Time

Rate of Pay: $8.50 per hour

Bowling Green Parks & Recreation is seeking to staff a part time Customer Service Specialist position to work the Front Desk at the BG Training and Community Center. Applicants must have prior customer service experience with the ability to work on a computer. Duties include but are not limited to the following: answering phones, filing, assisting pass holders by handing out balls, locks and equipment, data entry, enforcing center rules and regulations and other duties as assigned.

Applicants must have a valid driver’s license and obtain CPR/First Aid certification within three months of employment. Applicants must be willing to work a flexible evening and weekend schedule. Employment will be through a staffing agency. Individuals will not be employees of the City.

The City of Bowling Green’s Parks & Recreation Department is seeking qualified, dependable individuals for its summer part-time seasonal maintenance staff. Pay range $8.30 – $11.25 per hour, no fringe benefits.   Must be able to work flexible schedule up to 40 hours per week for the full term of the temporary employment including evening and weekends. Must be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license. Experience with building custodial, grounds, aquatic facility, small tractor and/or softball field maintenance beneficial. The City of Bowling Green’s Parks & Recreation Department is seeking qualified, dependable individuals to monitor park areas, buildings, restrooms and athletic fields. Pay Range $8.30 to $10.00 per hour, no fringe benefits.   Individual will insure all park rules and policies are being followed, assist maintenance personnel, ensure playgrounds, skate park and athletic facilities are being used safely, and monitor potential problems, and complete written reports. Also responsible for opening and closing facilities for rentals and answering renter questions about the facility at the time of check in.

The Bowling Green Parks and Recreation Dept is seeking motivated outgoing individuals to be a part of the Community Center Fitness and Kiwanis Kids Club team as Programmers working as Fitness Desk Representatives, Kiwanis Kids Club Staff and Special Programmers working as Certified Personal Trainers! The responsibilities of these positions include greeting patrons, assisting patrons with exercise, caring for children, cleaning fitness equipment, ensuring rules are being followed, and providing first class customer service.
