Part Time-Seasonal Positions for Bowling Green City Pool and Water Park
Bowling Green Parks & Recreation
In anticipation of the opening of the City’s Pool and Water Park for the 2021 summer season, the City is commencing the recruiting process. We will keep candidates notified of any changes or requirements that occur during the coming months with regard to the opening of the aquatics facility. At this time the City is seeking applications for the following positions: a Swim Program Director, Aquatic Assistant Managers, Concession Managers, Concession/Pool Attendants, certified Lifeguards, certified Water Safety Instructors (WSI), and Swim Aides to join the staff. Pay Range $8.80 – $11.25 per hour, depending on position. These are part-time, temporary positions without fringe benefits, contingent on the opening of the City Pool and Water Park. Must be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends from mid-May to mid-September.

Part-Time Seasonal Park Laborer-Maintenance

The City of Bowling Green’s Parks & Recreation Department is seeking qualified, dependable individuals for its summer part-time seasonal maintenance staff. Pay range $8.80 – $11.50 per hour, no fringe benefits. Must be able to work flexible schedule up to 40 hours per week for the full term of the temporary employment including evening and weekends. Must be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license. Experience with building custodial, grounds, aquatic facility, small tractor and/or softball field maintenance beneficial. PROGRAMMER / PROGRAM SUPERVISOR SPORTS PROGRAMS
Bowling Green Parks & Recreation Department
$8.80 to $9.80 per hour
The Bowling Green Parks and Recreation Department is seeking an individual to join the programming staff and work with youth girls and boys ages 3 ½ through 14. The position will require flexible availability both afternoons and evenings with mainly weekend assignments. The hours for this temporary position will average 6-25 per week.
RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, organizing and teaching/coaching multiple sport and recreational activities, sport camps; and scorekeeping and officiating. Background in basketball, baseball/softball and volleyball is helpful as well as a general knowledge of other youth sports; and a genuine interest in working with youth is needed.
REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must be at least 18 years of age with training or practical experience in working with youth, and must have the ability to relate to and motivate young children. Applicants must have a reliable source of transportation.
