2021 Spring D-League Soccer

D-League Soccer Skills Training for the Spring 2021 will consist of 4 training sessions for your child. Participants will meet on Monday evenings. Participants will learn from current division one college coaches and have fun in the process! Due to COVID 19 restrictions, this spring season will not consist of Saturday games. Saturdays will be designated for rainout make-ups should inclement weather take place on Mondays. Participants will be grouped together based on the school district they attend. Players are asked to bring a mask, wear shin guards and bring their own soccer ball to practices and games. Participants will receive a t-shirt.

 

Start Smart T-Ball 

Location: Bowling Green City Park/Eli Joyce Field

 

Developmentally appropriate introductory program for children ages three to five years old that prepares them for organized T-Ball/Baseball in a fun, non-threatening environment. This program prepares children and their parents for organized T-ball/baseball programs without the threat of competition or the fear of getting hurt. Equipment will be provided, but participants are encouraged to bring their own ball glove. Parents and children work one-on-one during this four week class. Children will receive a Start Smart Tball Shirt. The program will be held at the Eli Joyce Ball Diamond in City Park. Weather permitting, some programming may be held indoors at the Bowling Green Community Center.

 

Get Ahead Basketball Training

This 6 week, 60 minute program includes basketball specific conditioning, high intensity skill development and game play.
Learn proven game applicable moves
• Develop proper shooting technique and game situation drills
• Learn to attack the defense off of the dribble and triple threat
• Learn specific moves to finish around the basket against tough defenders
•Participate in game situation drills
• And more…
8th grade athletes have the choice to attend either group.

 

Quick Play Sports

Location: Bowling Green Community Center

This 4 week program consists of a variety of sports related activities. Participants will participate in skills challenges to keep physically fit while having fun. Sports such as basketball, soccer, football, kickball/whiffleball and running are a few examples of sports that will be played. Each weekly session will last 60 minutes. Program is limited to 12 participants and all activities will follow current sport guidelines under the Ohio Health Department.

 

Youth T-Ball

Location: City Park/ Eli Joyce Fields

*$6 Late Fee After 5/1/21*

Youth T-ball program for children ages 5-6 (must be 5 by 5/11/21). Each participant will receive a cap and t-shirt. Participants must bring their own ball glove. Other equipment is provided, however participants may be allowed to bring their own Tball bats and helmets (if approved). Practices leading up to games will be on Mondays and Wednesdays at either 5PM or later beginning May 11th. Practices will be 45 minutes long. T-ball games will be on Tuesdays & Thursdays (at 5:15 or 6pm start times) beginning June 8th. Times are subject to change based on the number of teams. Games are subject to rainouts and makeup games will be scheduled for the week of July 19th. Volunteer coaches are needed. Any volunteer coaches must attend the coaches meeting on Wednesday, May 5th at 7PM, located at the Veterans Hall (in City Park). Coaches are asked to complete and application and pass background checks prior to coaching.

 

Youth Softball

Youth Softball program for children ages 7-9 (must be 7 as of 5/10/21) will consist of machine pitch. Each participant will receive a cap and t-shirt. Participants must bring their own ball glove. Other equipment is provided, however participants may be allowed to bring their own youth bats and helmet with a cage mask (if approved). Practices leading up to games will be on Mondays and Wednesdays at 5PM or later beginning May 10th. Additional skills training and batting practice will be provided for participants throughout the season (see flyer for more details). Softball games will be on Mondays and Wednesdays at either 5PM or later (subject to change based on the number of teams) beginning June 7th. Games are subject to rainouts and makeup games will be scheduled for the week of July 12th . Volunteer coaches are needed. Any volunteer coaches must attend the coaches meeting on Wednesday, May 5th, at 7PM, located at theVeterans Hall (in City Park). Coaches are asked to complete an application and pass background checks prior to coaching.

 

Youth Softball program for children ages 10-12 will consist of machine pitch softball. Participants must be 10 by 5/11/21. Each participant will receive a cap and t-shirt. Participants must bring their own ball glove. Other equipment is provided, however participants may be allowed to bring their own youth bats and helmet with a mask (if approved). Practices are projected to begin at 6:30PM or later beginning Tuesday, May 11th. Practices will be 60 minutes long. Additional skills training and batting practice will be provided for participants throughout the season (see flyer for more details). Softball games will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning June 8th. Game times are 7PM or later (subject to change based on the number of teams). Games are subject to rainouts and makeup games will be scheduled for the week of July19th.
