The Bowling Green Training and Community Center is a 79,000 square-foot recreation facility built through collaboration by the Ohio Army National Guard, Wood County Board of DD (Wood Lane) and the City of Bowling Green. The community center offers great recreational, educational and social opportunities for all ages.

Simpson is open its regular 9 am – 5pm hours the day before Thanksgiving & New Year’s Eve.
Simpson Office is Closed on all major holidays listed above.

Annual Maintenance- The Community Center will be CLOSED for one week each August for cleaning and maintenance.  Exact dates will be announced as the date gets nearer.


  • Pass holders must swipe in & out for access to the Center
  • Patrons inquiring about a pass must stop at the front desk for information and a tour
  • No chewing gum
  • Food and drinks (other than water) in lobby only
  • Children 12 years of age or younger must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian to use the Community Center
  • Children 13, 14, & 15 must complete our 3 session Teen Strength and Fitness class before they may use the fitness equipment
  • Children 16 & 17 must complete a one session orientation before they may use the fitness equipment
  • No running except in the gym or on the track
  • We ask that shoes worn outside not be worn in the gymnasium, fitness area & multipurpose room
