Have you ever thought about improving your historic building? Want to learn how to renovate your historic building and save some money in the process? The Bowling Green Historic Preservation Commission invites the community to an Introduction to Historic Preservation Tax Credits. The presentation will take place on Wednesday, February 8th, 2023 at 12:00 p.m., located in the Council Chambers at the City Administration Building (304 N. Church Street).
The presentation is in partnership with Ohio History Connection, the state historic preservation office (SHPO). Sam will provide an introduction to the state and federal tax credit programs, explaining the qualifying criteria for historic properties, and describing the three-part application process. Nathan will delve into the Secretary of Interior Standards for Rehabilitation and the Basic Submission Requirements, explaining what changes can be made to a property, the common mistakes that are made, and the SHPO Reviewer’s role in the application process.
Bring your lunch and your questions - there will be opportunity for Q&A following the presentation!
