The portion of the 2022 paving projects, associated with the use of ARPA funds and the paving of residential roads, is set to begin Monday, July 11th. The removal and replacement of curbs, ADA ramps, and certain sections of sidewalk has already begun, and contractors plan to begin milling streets, next week, in the following order:
Monday, July 11:
Portions of Frazee, Leroy Ave., East and West Reed
Tuesday, July 12 into Wednesday, July 13:
Wednesday, July 13 into Thursday, July 14:
Currently, paving crews plan to be onsite Thursday, July 14th to replace the asphalt. This schedule is dependent on weather and progress of work.
As a reminder, Mayor Aspacher and Council previously allocated approximately $3,000,000 of ARPA funds towards paving of residential roads throughout the City. This will occur over a 3-year period – 2022, 2023, and 2024.
In 2022, portions of the following roads are scheduled to be paved as part of this project: Clough, North and South Enterprise, West Evers, Frazee, Lehman, Leroy, Mitchell, Pike, North Prospect, East and West Reed, Ridge, and South Summit.
The contract completion date for this portion of the project is October 2022.
