Employment Opportunities The City of Bowling Green is an equal opportunity employer. At this time, the City is seeking qualified candidates who are interested in applying for the available positions listed below. Each open job classification will have a job description that you can review. In order to be considered you must complete the City application, which is available below. The City's application must be completed and returned to the Personnel Department by the deadline established in the advertisement. Resumes alone are not acceptable; however, a resume may be returned with a completed City application. The City only accepts applications when a specific vacancy is to be filled or when a Civil Serice examination has been scheduled. Application materials must be submitted in accordance with the method established in the specific job or Civil Service examination advertisement. In addition to the City application, a candidate may be required to submit a detailed statement outlining his/her experience relating to certain criteria. This is usually required of all management level postions. if required for a specific job opening, the phrase "submission information" will be listed by the specific job title. The openings for full-time and non-temporary part-time positions are provided in Section (1) below. Section (2) lists available openings for temporary postions currently available within the Parks and Recreation Department. Section (3) is comprised of other temporary positions for which applications are being accepted. Section (4) provides general pre-employment information that you may find of interest as you consider employment with the City.
