Downtown Banner Permit (Vertical Banners)
A permit is required to install vertical banners on designated city-owned street light poles. Applicants must comply with the specifications outlined in Section 115.02 of the Codified Ordinances pertaining to advertising on public property.
The guidelines for vertical banners are very specific because of the hardware already installed on the street light poles. Those applying will be required to meet all standards outlined in Section 115.02. Be mindful that these specifications include the materials and size of the banner and other construction standards. Banners are installed and removed by City Personnel.
Permits will be issued on a first-come, first-serve basis per calendar year. There is a fee for a banner permit.
