Michelle has over 20 years of work experience in parks and recreation and is a CertifiedPark and Recreation Professional (CPRP). She also holds a doctoral degree in Ecology and has 18 years of management and leadership experience. Michelle spent 10 years as an environmental educator and assistant manager of naturalist services at Metroparks of the Toledo Area. She served 3 years as Development Director for Metroparks, raising funds to support programs and services. Michelle served as the Women’s Commissioners Chair in Botany and Director of the Slayton Arboretum at HillsdaleCollege before becoming the Director of Toledo Botanical Garden. She moved to Bowling Green in 2004 as the Director of Parks and Recreation and is delighted to be a part of this vibrant community.
