Mayor Quinn Appoints Victor Schnipke as Fire Lieutenant

 

 

BOWLING GREEN—Mayor John Quinn has appointed Victor Schnipke to the rank of Lieutenant for the Bowling Green Fire Division.

 

Schnipke has been with the Fire Division since 1994.  He earned a Bachelor’s Degree from the Ohio State University.

 

In addition to participating in the on-going training that is required of firefighters, Schnipke is a Fire Safety Inspector, a Fire Investigator, and an EMT-B.

 

During his tenure with the City, Schnipke has been recognized by his supervisors for his willingness to perform duties above and beyond requirements and for being a positive role model in the performance of his duties.

 

The Fire Division assigns the rank of Lieutenant to nine firefighters.  The job description states that a Fire Lieutenant is “responsible for ensuring effective day-to-day operations of shift personnel; commanding shift in absence of Fire Captain; and assisting shift commander with training and supervision.”
