July 10, 2008 Contact: Lori Tretter (419) 354-6204 (Street Closure) Earlene Kilpatrick (419) 354-4332 (Event Info) BG Main Street to Close July 12 for Downtown Car Show BOWLING GREEN—In conjunction with the 7th Annual Classics on Main Auto Show, sponsored by Main Street Bowling Green, certain street closings and parking restrictions will be imposed in the downtown on Saturday, July 12, 2008. Main Street (State Route 25), between Clay and Pearl, will be closed to vehicular traffic beginning at 5:00 am on Saturday. All on-street parking will be prohibited in the closure area. Additionally, on-street parking will not be allowed on Clay from Main to North Grove. While Main Street is closed, no through traffic will be permitted on Washington, Court, Clough, and Oak Streets. However, Wooster Street will remain open for east and westbound traffic throughout the day. During the Main Street closing, detour routes for local and truck traffic will be posted. All streets will be reopened as soon as possible following the completion of the event, at approximately 5:00 pm. Access to all downtown City parking lots will remain open throughout the day. # # # 08-073 |
