June 11, 2008 Contact: Utility Director’s Office (419) 354-6246 BG Conducting Geographic Positioning Field Inventory BOWLING GREEN—The City of Bowling Green has contracted with GIS Landmark to conduct an inventory and locate the geographic position of City-owned electric meters, pedestals, and transformers. Residents should be aware that GIS Landmark employees will be working around the electrical equipment, including meters on homes. Those conducting the inventory will carry equipment that includes a large antenna. This work will require the GIS Landmark employee to enter the property where the electric equipment is located. However, access to homes will not be necessary. Crews are currently working in the 4th Ward of the City. Work hours may, at times, exceed standard business hours with evening work concluding no later than 8:00 pm. All employees carry photo identification. The purpose of this inventory is to build a database of all city-owned electric meters. # # # 08-059 |
