Collection for Area Flood Victims
BOWLING GREEN—Cleaning supplies and monetary donations for Northwest Ohio flood victims will be collected through next Tuesday, February 12, 2008 at the Flower Basket in downtown Bowling Green, 165 South Main Street.
The Bowling Green Unity Coalition and the City of Bowling Green are working in cooperation to organize the collection. Specifically, new cleaning supplies are requested for donation. Donated supplies will be displayed in the Flower Basket window before being transported to local communities who have been impacted by recent flooding.
Monetary donations, which will be given to the Red Cross, will also be accepted at the Flower Basket.
In August, when flooding hit the region, a similar donation drive was held. As a result, two large City trucks were filled with donations and delivered to those in need. Organizers are hopeful that the community will once again be generous and help area communities impacted by the flooding
Questions about this collection may be directed to Maryann at the Flower Basket at (419) 352-6395.
