Zoning Board of Appeals Minutes

April 14, 2010 at 7:30 p.m., City Administrative Services Building, 304 North Church Street, Bowling Green, OH 43402

MEMBERS PRESENT:  Calderon, Ennis, Waddle, Burton, Meyer,

                  and Reublin             

MEMBERS ABSENT:  Hess

The minutes of the March 10, 2010 meeting were approved as submitted. 

Requests for Variance

Celeste Beerman, 713 Champagne, has requested a variance on Section 150.132 (c)for a portable storage unit to be located on the driveway from April 21, 2010 through July 31, 2010.

Waddle moved, Meyer seconded, that the request be approved.  Motion carried 5-1, with Ennis casting the negative vote.

Michael Staczek has requested a variance to allow an addition to a non-conforming use and structure, zoned R-2 Single-Family and used as multi-family, by:  Enclosing the 16’ x 26’ flat roof area with a second story at the east end of the building to be non-inhabitable and have limited access, enclosing a portion of the existing second story open walkway,, and adding a new stairway access on the east 12’ of the building to match the existing roof and building perimeter located at 228 South College Drive.

Meyer moved, Waddle seconded, that the request be approved.  Motion failed to carry 2-4, with Ennis, Calderon, Burton and Reublin casting the negative votes.
