Zoning Board of Appeals Minutes

MEMBERS PRESENT: Ennis, Calderon, Adler, Meyer & Hess                                   

MEMBERS ABSENT: Merrill & Reublin

The minutes of the May 13, 2009 meeting were approved as submitted.

Requests for Variance

Donald Schick, 860 Carol, has requested a variance on Section 150.16 for a proposed addition (deck) that will encroach 1 foot into the required 10 foot side yard setback on the east. 

Calderon  moved, Meyer seconded, that the request be approved.  Motion carried unanimously. 

Tim Hang, 919 Wilson, has requested a variance on Section 150.16 for a proposed addition (deck) that will encroach 13 feet into the required 30 foot rear yard setback and will cause the primary structure to encroach 4 feet into the required 10 foot side yard setback on the west. 

Meyer moved, Adler seconded, that the request be approved.

Motion carried unanimously. 

The City of Bowling Green Parks and Recreation Department has requested a variance on Section 150.132 (C) for a temporary one-year variance to allow the construction of an accessory building at Wintergarden/St. John’s Nature Preserve at 615 South Wintergarden Road.

Adler moved, Ennis seconded, that the request be approved.

Motion carried unanimously.
