Planning Commission Minutes – May 6, 2009              Page 1

The Planning Commission met on the above date at 7:30 p.m. in the Administrative Services Building, 304 North Church Street, Bowling Green, Ohio.

Members Present: Ash, Burton, Gaskins, Roudebush, Arnold and Barber.          

Members Absent:  Robinette, Leck and Ferrell.

MINUTES

The minutes of the March 4, 2009 meeting were approved as submitted.

LOBBY VISITATION

None.

S-DISTRICT SITE PLAN

For four rooming houses on the north side of Fourth Street, at the intersection of South College Drive.  Kelen Properties, Petitioner. 

Rick Ketzenbarger, Planning Director, said that the S-District Site Plan that has been submitted is complete.  He said that the Staff will complete its review of the Plan by the next Planning Commission meeting.  He commented that the Petitioner is requesting a setback waiver from Fourth Street.

Barber asked what the definition is of a rooming house. 

Ketzenbarger said that a rooming house is a single dwelling unit that allows more than three unrelated residents.

The Planning Commission set this item for Public Hearing at the June 3, 2009 meeting.

REPORT

Representative to the Zoning Board of Appeals.

No report.

Ketzenbarger said that on behalf of John Fawcett and Mayor Quinn he would like to thank Barber and Leck for their years of participating on the Planning Commission.  He commented that this is the last meeting for both due to term limits.

The meeting adjourned at 7:34 p.m.
