Part-Time Seasonal Special Programmer-Park Monitor/Caretaker

Bowling Green Parks & Recreation

 The City of Bowling Green’s Parks & Recreation Department is seeking qualified, dependable individuals to monitor park areas, buildings, restrooms and athletic fields. Pay Range $8.15 to $10.00 per hour, no fringe benefits.   Individual will insure all park rules and policies are being followed, assist maintenance personnel, ensure playgrounds, skate park and athletic facilities are being used safely, and monitor potential problems, and complete written reports. Also responsible for opening and closing facilities for rentals and answering renter questions about the facility at the time of check in.

Must be able to work a varied schedule including weekends. Experience working with patrons in a park setting  beneficial. Must be at least 18 years old and able to lift 25 pounds. Part-Time, Temporary Position-Rate of Pay $8.15-$10.00 per hour

 

The City of Bowling Green’s Parks & Recreation department is seeking qualified, dependable individuals for the positions of Special Programmer/Gym Monitor. Responsible for Community Center gym monitoring, light custodial maintenance, set up and tear down in Community Center gym. Must be at least 18 years of age. Previous experience in “gym culture” helpful. Must be able to work under general supervision and have ability to lift 50 pounds. Must hold valid Ohio driver’s license and have First Aid and CPR certifications. Varied schedule including nights and weekends required. Individuals hired will not be City of Bowling Green employees; employment will be through a temporary agency. The City of Bowling Green’s Parks & Recreation Department is seeking qualified, dependable individuals for its summer part-time seasonal maintenance staff. Pay range $8.15 – $11.25 per hour, no fringe benefits.   Must be able to work flexible schedule up to 40 hours per week for the full term of the temporary employment including evening and weekends. Must be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license. Experience with building custodial, grounds, aquatic facility, small tractor and/or softball field maintenance beneficial. Employment will be through a temporary agency. Individuals hired will not be City of Bowling Green employees.

The Bowling Green Parks and Recreation Dept is seeking motivated outgoing individuals to be a part of the Community Center Fitness and Kiwanis Kids Club team as Programmers working as Fitness Desk Representatives, Kiwanis Kids Club Staff and Special Programmers working as Certified Personal Trainers! The responsibilities of these positions include greeting patrons, assisting patrons with exercise, caring for children, cleaning fitness equipment, ensuring rules are being followed, and providing first class customer service. These positions are part-time temporary positions staffed through a temporary agency with no fringe benefits. Individuals hired are not city employees.   • Police Officer –  Age Requirement for Police Officer  shall be in accordance with Section 124.41 of the Ohio Revised Code. Credit for Military Service shall be in accordance with Section 124.23 of the Ohio Revised Code.
  • Firefighter/EMT/EMT-I/Paramedic –  Age Requirement for Firefighter/EMT/EMT-I/Paramedic shall be in accordance with Section 124.42 of the Ohio Revised Code.   Credit for Military Service shall be in accordance with Section 124.23 of the Ohio Revised Code.
