 School Police and Substitute School Police-Adult Crossing Guards (Pay $12.00 per crossing worked, Not to Exceed $36.00 per day)

The City of Bowling Green is accepting applications for “School Police” (Adult Crossing Guards).  Applicants for the “School Police” vacancy must be available to cover the crossing at Sand Ridge Road and South Church Street. 8:25 a.m. – 9:10 a.m. and 3:20 p.m. – 3:40 p.m. Monday through Friday during the school year.  Applicants for “Substitute School Police” must be available to work at any of the City’s designated crossings given short notice.

Temporary Part-time Staffing

Rate of Pay: $8.10 to $10.00 per hour

Seeking to staff part-time temporary attendant(s) to assist patrons of the BG Training & Community Center.  Previous customer service experience in a community center setting preferred.  Must have a valid driver’s license and obtain CPR/First Aid certification within three months. Must be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.  Employment will be through a temporary staffing agency.  Individuals will not be employees of the City.  Applications are available in the Personnel Department at 304 North Church Street, BG, OH or online by clicking here. Programmers for Fitness and Kiwanis Kid’s Club

Rate of Pay : $8.10 per hour

The Bowling Green Parks and Recreation Dept is seeking motivated outgoing individuals to be a part of the Community Center Fitness and Kiwanis Kids Club team as Programmers working as Fitness Desk Representatives, Kiwanis Kids Club Staff and Special Programmers working as Certified Personal Trainers! The responsibilities of these positions include greeting patrons, assisting patrons with exercise, caring for children, cleaning fitness equipment, ensuring rules are being followed, and providing first class customer service. These positions are part-time temporary positions staffed through a temporary agency with no fringe benefits. Individuals hired are not city employees. INFORMATION REGARDING HIRING ENTRY-LEVEL POLICE OFFICER & FIREFIGHTER/EMT/EMT-I/PARAMEDIC

The City is not accepting applications for these positions at this time.

  • Police Officer –  Age Requirement for Police Officer  shall be in accordance with Section 124.41 of the Ohio Revised Code. Credit for Military Service shall be in accordance with Section 124.23 of the Ohio Revised Code.
  • Firefighter/EMT/EMT-I/Paramedic – Age Requirement for Firefighter/EMT/EMT-I/Paramedic shall be in accordance with Section 124.42 of the Ohio Revised Code.   Credit for Military Service shall be in accordance with Section 124.23 of the Ohio Revised Code.
