 In order to be considered for a position, an individual must complete the appropriate application form, which is available below with the job postings. The application must be completed and returned to the Personnel Department by the deadline established in the advertisement. Résumés alone are not acceptable; however, a résumé  may be returned with a completed application. PROGRAMMER- Fall Programs

$8.10 per hour 

 

The Bowling Green Parks and Recreation Department is seeking an individual to join the fall programming staff and work with boys and girls ages 3 ½ through 14.   The position will require flexible availability both mornings and afternoons with mainly weekend and some evening assignments.  The hours for this temporary position will average 6-8 per week.  Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, organizing and teaching/coaching multiple sport and recreational activities; and scorekeeping and officiating. Background in basketball and volleyball helpful; and a genuine interest in working with youth needed. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age with training or practical experience in working with youth, and must have the ability to relate to and motivate young children.

Programmers-Fitness Desk and Kid’s Club

The Bowling Green Parks and Recreation Dept is seeking motivated outgoing individuals to be a part of the Community Center Fitness and Kiwanis Kids Club team as Programmers working as Fitness Desk Representatives and Kiwanis Kids Club Staff. The responsibilities of these positions include greeting patrons, assisting patrons with exercise, caring for children, cleaning fitness equipment, ensuring rules are being followed, and providing first class customer service.  These positions are part-time temporary positions staffed through a temporary agency with no fringe benefits. Part-Time Seasonal Park Laborer-Maintenance

The City of Bowling Green’s Parks & Recreation Department is seeking two qualified, dependable individuals for its part-time seasonal maintenance staff.  Pay Range $8.10 - $11.25 per hour, no fringe benefits.   Must be able to work flexible schedule up to 40 hours per week for the full term of the temporary employment including evening and weekends. Must be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license.  Experience with building custodial, grounds, aquatic facility, small tractor and/or softball field maintenance beneficial.

Seeking to staff part-time temporary attendant(s) to assist patrons of the BG Training & Community Center.  Previous customer service experience in a community center setting preferred.  Must have a valid driver’s license and obtain CPR/First Aid certification within three months.
