D-League Soccer

Developmental league to be managed by the Bowling Green Soccer Club. Program will consist of 7 weeks of practice with 6 games. Practices will begin the week of 8/25/14 and games will begin on 9/6/14.  A full schedule will be placed on the Bowling Green Soccer website (www.bgsoccer.info) at the start of the season.  All practices and games will be held at Dunbridge Field. Players are required to wear shin guards and bring their own soccer ball to practices and games. 
If you are interested in becoming a volunteer D-League Soccer Coach - contact Eric Fletcher at efletcher@bgohio.org - Free NYSCA Coaches Training for new coaches will be on 8/27/2014 from 6:00-8:00 pm at the Simpson Meeting Room, located at 1291 Conneaut Ave.

 

 

Volleyball Skills

Location: Bowling Green Community Center

This six week after school volleyball program is for boys and girls in grades 3rd-5th and 6th-8th.  Program will be instructed by the BGSU Women's Club Volleyball Team.  Players will receive skill instruction and the opportunity to scrimmage.  Participants will meet twice a week, on Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning Tuesday, September 9th.  Trainer volleyballs and proper instruction will allow players to develop their skills and learn the game of volleyball.  Players are required to bring clean pair of tennis shoes.  Knee pads are recommended. A $5 late fee will be assessed to registrations after September 3.

 

 


Basketball Skills and Conditioning

Location: Bowling Green Community Center

Boys and girls can prepare for the upcoming basketball season with this new skills and conditioning program. This six week program will include drills and workouts tailored to challenge participants based on their skill level. Participants who give their best effort will receive improved results! Participants are asked to bring basketball shoes and a positive working attitude. A $5 late fee will be assessed to registrations after September 5.

 

 

 

Basketball League

Location: Bowling Green Community Center

Youth program will practice on Monday or Tuesday evenings and play games on Saturday mornings (between 9:00AM and Noon).  Practice times (5:00, 6:00 or 7:00PM) will be determined when teams are split.  Teams will be split into age groups of 6-7 year olds, 8-9 year olds and 10-12 year olds.  Each participant will receive a t-shirt. 

Skills/Assessment day will be held on Tuesday, October 7th (6,7,8 and 9 year olds 6PM, 10,11 and 12 year olds 7PM).  Skills/Assessment day will be held as a pre-season warm up for participants and as an evaluation of the players' abilities for the program director.

Volunteer Coaches are needed!  NYSCA Coaches Certification will be held Thursday, October 9th from 6-8PM.   Games begin Saturday, November 1st.  No games Saturday, Nov. 22nd and Saturday, Nov. 29th (Thanksgiving).
