Acceleration

Location: Bowling Green Community Center

 

 

Looking for something to do in the off-season?  Sign-up for our six week camp focused around athletic conditioning & skills to help you in your sport.  We will be working on overall agility (acceleration and deceleration), sprinting mechanics, lateral speed, and overall hip and core strength.

 

 

After School Fit Kids

Location: Bowling Green Community Center

 

Fit Kids is a fun and physical program for children between 8-13 years old.  Kids will participate in team sports as well as exercise regiments all while socializing with other children.  The program aims to give a sense of community among home-schooled children as they learn to be more active.

Basketball Skills & Conditioning

Location:  Bowling Green Community Center

 

 

Grades K-5 boys and girls can work on their basketball game with this skills and conditioning program.  This six week program will include drills and workouts tailored to challenge participants based on their skill level.  Participants who give their best effort will receive improved results!  Participants are asked to bring basketball shoes and a positive working attitude.

 

 

Cramer Basketball Skills

Location: Bowling Green Community Center

 

6th-8th grade boys and girls can prepare for upcoming basketball seasons with instructor Steve Cramer this fall.  This six week program will include drills and workouts tailored to challenge participants based on skill level.  Participants who give their best effort will receive improved results!  Participants are asked to bring basketball shoes and a positive working attitude.

 

 

Dodgeball

Location:  Bowling Green Community Center

These six week programs will run on Fridays from 3:45-5:15pm.  Teams consisting of 3rd-5th graders and 6th-8th graders, will be randomly assorted every week.  A weekly drop in rate of $7 may be considered numbers permit.  A supervisor will be on hand to officiate and supervise all participants.  Soft, gator-skin dodgeballs will be used.  Session II of dodgeball begins 10/30/15.

8 Week Program

 

 

Join Skill Coach, Steve Cramer in some small group basketball skill lessons.  Participate in cutting edge, dynamice drills designed for players to enjoy and understand the process of improvement all at once.  Improve shooting accuracy, develop footwork and focus on skills specific to your game.  Steve Cramer is a former professional basketball player in Germany and Slovakia (2007-2011) and Hope College All-American (2003-2007).  He has directed camps, clinics and individual lessons for players of all levels since 2008. Lessons are limited to 9 participants per hour. 

 

 

Kick, Catch, & Throw

A fun introductory sports class for boys and girls in PreSchool and ages 3-5. Through a range of developmentally appropriate activities, children are introduced to some of the fundamentals of various sports.  Parents are encouraged to attend with their children.
Sign up for both sessions by September 1st and receive a $10 discount off of Session II (October 16th- November 20th).

 

 

NFL Punt, Pass, and Kick

Location:  Carter Park North Field

 

 

This NFL skills competition is open to boys and girls ages 6-15 (ages as of December 31, 2015), it is free and walk-up registration is allowed the day of the event.  Competition will be held on Thursday, September3rd beginning at 6pm at Carter Park's North Field.  Participants may drop in any time between 6 PM and 8 PM.  This event will be held rain or shine and participants are asked to bring a copy of their birth certificate for registration.  No spiked or cleated shoes are permitted.

 

 

D-League Soccer

Location: Dunbridge Soccer Fields

Practices will begin Monday 8/24/15.  Games will begin 9/5/15.

 

Developmental league to be managed by the Bowling Green Soccer Club.  Program will consist of 7 weeks of practice with 6 games. Practices will begin on 8/24/15 and games will begin on 9/5/15.  All practices and games will be held at Dunbridge Field.  3 and 4 year olds practice Mondays 5:15-6:00PM and games will be on Saturdays at 10:30 AM.  5 and 6 year olds wil practice Mondays 6:15-7:15PM and games will be on Saturdays at 9AM.  7 and 8 year olds will practice Mondays 5:30-6:30PM and games will be on Saturdays 9AM.  9 through 14 year olds will practice Mondays 6:30-7:45PM and games will be on Saturdays at 10:30AM. Players are required to wear shin guards and bring their own soccer ball to practices and games.  Free NYSCA Coaches Training for new coaches will be on 8/20/2015 from 6-8PM at the Simpson Banquet Room, located at 1291 Conneaut Ave.  See Flyer for more info.

 

 

Volleyball Skills Clinic

Location: Bowling Green Community Center

 

This six week after school volleyball program is for boys and girls in grades 3-6.  Players will receive skill instruction and the opportunity to scrimmage.  Participants will meet twice a week, on Mondays and Wednesdays (4:00PM-5:00PM & 5:00PM-6:00PM) beginning Monday, August 31st.  Trainer volleyballs and proper instruction will allow players to develop their skills and learn the game of volleyball.  Players are required to bring clean pair of tennis shoes.  Knee pads are recommended.  No class on Labor Day 9/7/15.
