The Community Center is not only a place for recreation and fitness, but a place for culture and art. Many of the pieces here were originally shown or were created at the Black Swamp Arts Festival. Click on a picture below to view a larger image.
This art piece is made from a conglomerate of nails and metal. It appears directly above the front desk at the Community Center.
4 Corners Mural
This large mural highlights the 4 corners of Main St. in Bowling Green. It was created at the Black Swamp Arts Festival by various artists who each designed a small square of the mural. The designs were combined together to form the mural that is located near the Multipurpose Room and to the right of the stairs leading to the Fitness Area.
Glass Mosaic Window
This large glass mosaic window by Gail Christofferson depicts the sun setting on a crane in a marsh. Gail designs all types of glass mosaic art in her studio Animal House Glass. This piece is located in the windows above the KKC and Game Area.
We have exhibited paintings, drawings, and metal work by high school students and local artists throughout the area. These are periodically displayed throughout the year across from the PRES Box TV.
